WDO Inspections
What is a WDO Inspection?
A WDO inspection is a visual inspection of the accessible areas of a structure for evidence of wood destroying organisms: subterranean termites, drywood termites, wood decay fungi and wood-boring beetles. Findings are documented on the Official Florida Wood-Destroying Organisms Inspection Report (FDACS Form 13645).
It is a separate inspection from a general home inspection. The report records visible evidence, past or present, along with areas that could not be accessed.

When do I need one?
A WDO inspection may be needed in several situations:
-
Buying a home. Many real estate contracts involving VA or FHA financing require a WDO report. Our licensed WDO inspections help satisfy this requirement.
-
Selling a home. Scheduling an inspection before listing can help you prepare for buyer requirements and avoid unexpected delays during the sale.
-
Maintaining an existing home. Periodic inspections can help identify signs of termites, wood-boring beetles, and other wood-destroying organisms before damage progresses.
If you're unsure whether a WDO report is required for your transaction, check your purchase contract or consult your real estate agent or lender.
